Painting 48 of 50 is based on a photograph by talented local photographer, artist and entrepreneur, Katlyn Jackson. I believe Kat would have preferred me to base my painting on one of her other photographs rather than this one, a floral mostly likely. I really didn't have much choice in the matter though. I am so deeply enamored with this image, it may be my favorite painting of this project. I'm not entirely sure, but I think it might even be a, "Selfie". If that's true, it's one of the most epic selfies I've ever seen.
